- Was developed in order to provide a
synthetic industrial product that could
serve as a viable ecological alternative
to living evergreens used as Christmas
trees. PVC happens to be the only
polymer with a UL94 VO rating, i.e.
fireproof; it lends itself perfectly to
applications in which adherence to
stringent safety standards is
fundamental. This fiber's amazing
resemblance to natural evergreen needles
is achieved thanks to the opacity of the
colors, the ability to blend fibers of
different tonalities and the star-shaped
section. The latter characteristic, of
course, also makes it possible to
lighten the fiber which greatly
facilitates the twisting operation.
Plus, the fiber's excellent bend
recovery eliminates any deformation
problems that could be caused by
packaging. |
